2026 EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Once again, the theatre was almost “sold out”. It began with an inspirational Opening Video and continued by showcasing some of our prior hero recipients. Then we spotlighted some of the 2026 Nominees who joined us. Each one was as amazing as the next. Our Keynote Speaker was Mr. Scott Murray. He hit it out of the park with a few highlights of his fascinating 30-year career as an multi-Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist, followed by a moving speech on the difference each one of us can make in the world.

The featured segment of the night was the presentation of our two Annie Award recipients.. The audience learned all about each through a video crafted to tell their volunteer story (see the Hall of Heroes menu to watch each of their videos). Our own Mayor Amir Omar presented the awards to each recipient. The evening ended in grand style in the Grand Foyer of the Eisemann with a full-blown dessert bar, live music, and party to celebrate all our incredible volunteers who serve Richardson in grand style!

2025 EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Sara Hickman, a nationally known, joyful Texas-based performer and speaker, is a graduate of the University of North Texas. She has recorded many albums on major and independent labels, appeared on Johnny Carson twice, was named Official Texas State Musician 2010, and is a huge proponent of giving back. Humana presented her the
“Women Helping Women” award for her work with many humanitarian organizations.
She will weave song into her talk about the power of giving back.

The evening ended in grand style with a festive, live music filled, delicious dessert reception in the Grand Foyer.
